Troubleshooting: VIC: NAT00020 - Delivery Location - Validation Errors

The NAT00020 file contains the address details for the locations where you deliver your training. Almost all of these errors can be fixed by confirming the details in the appropriate Location Wizard and Suburb Wizard (both found in Manage > Configuration) are valid, and that the Suburbs, Postcodes and country codes are valid (a good check is to look them up at auspost.com.au/postcodes).

If you utilise the Report Employer as Location in AVETMISS checkbox within a client enrolment, you may need to investigate the Enrolment Employer to solve an issue.

Error Code and Description

Suggested Resolution

20001: The Training Organisation Delivery Location file  must have at least one record.

This error can occur if you have no activity to report, and indicates that the NAT file is empty. Ensure you have enrolments set to ‘Report to State body’, the delivery location for these enrolments is a Victorian location. Units have reportable results, with dates in, or spanning, the reporting period.

20006: Postcode must be valid (must match a postcode in the master list).

Check the Location & Suburb Wizards (Manage > Configuration), and confirm that the Location Postcode is valid on auspost.com.au/postcodes. Note that PO box post codes are an invalid selection (eg 3001).

20011: For postcodes other than VIC or OSPC, the Postcode must be consistent with the Address Location - Suburb, Locality or Town (ie; match a postcode/description in the master list).

Check the Location & Suburb Wizards (Manage > Configuration), confirm that the Postcode and Suburb combination match a record on auspost.com.au/postcodes.

20017: The Address Street Number must not be blank.

Check the Location Wizard (Manage > Configuration), ensure a street number has been entered.

20018: The Address Street Name must not be blank.

Check the Location Wizard (Manage > Configuration), ensure a street name has been entered.

20019: The state identifier must be 99 when postcode is "OSPC".

Check the Location & Suburb Wizards (Manage > Configuration), if you have a Suburb with code OSPC, ensure that the State is ‘Overseas’ (not ‘Other’).

20020: The Address details must not change for an existing unique Training Organisation Delivery Location Identifier.

Once a delivery location has been reported. The name and address details for that Location Code must not change.

To fix this error you must change the Location details back to what they were initially reported as, and create a new location with the new details (and a new code).

203707: State Identifier must match the Postcode as defined by Australia Post

Check the Location & Suburb Wizards (Manage > Configuration) and ensure the Postcode and State are correct as per auspost.com.au/postcodes.

204616: No more than one record should exist for this Training Organisation Delivery Location Name

Check the Location Wizard (Manage > Configuration) and ensure that each Location name is unique. If you have duplicate locations, you will need to rename the most recent of these to avoid error 20020.

204639: The training delivery location Postcode must not be a Postbox Postcode. Location postcodes must relate to a physical address.

Check the Location & Suburb Wizards (Manage > Configuration), and confirm that the Location Postcode is valid on auspost.com.au/postcodes. Note that PO box post codes are an invalid selection (eg 3001).

204648: When Postcode is 'OSPC', Country Identifier cannot be '1100', '1101', '1102' or '1199'.

Check the Location Wizard (Manage > Configuration). This error indicates that you have entered the delivery location postocde as OSPC (Overseas Postal Code), but the delivery location country is still set to an Australia code.
