Select Result Unit and Award Preferences from the Preference items list, then choose the Advanced tab:

The preferences are:

Result start date being changed

This preference controls VETtrak's behaviour when changing an existing start date for a continuing unit through the Enrolment Results Wizard or Bulk Enrolment Results Wizard.

When this preference is set to warning, if you attempt to change the unit start date, the Status column colour indicator will turn yellow. The warning message will advise that the start date is being changed and provide the original start date. It is possible to ignore the warning and complete the wizard.

If the preference is set to error, the status column colour indicator will turn red. The error message will include the original start date. The original start date must be restored in order to complete the wizard.

Result being recorded more than this number of days ago

This preference controls VETtrak's behaviour when recording dates through the Enrolment Results Wizard or Bulk Enrolment Results Wizard. The Days setting specifies how long.

When this preference is set to warning, if you attempt to record a date that falls beyond the set number of days, the Status column colour indicator will turn yellow. The warning message will advise that the date is more than the set number of days ago. It is possible to ignore the warning and complete the wizard.

If the preference is set to error, the status column colour indicator will turn red. The error message will state the date is more than the set number of days ago and you will not be able to complete the wizard.

The error message will state the finish date is more than the set number of days ago and you will not be able to complete the wizard.

Result being recorded when pre-requisites not satisfied

This preference applies to recording results using the Enrolment Results Wizard or Bulk Enrolment Results Wizard.

When this preference is set to warning, if you attempt to record a result for a unit with a pre-requisite that has not be completed, the Status column colour indicator will turn yellow. The warning message will advise that some pre-requisites have not been completed for the unit. It is possible to ignore the warning and complete the wizard.

If the preference is set to error, the status column colour indicator will turn red only in the case of recording a completed/competent result. You will not be able to complete the wizard. A warning will still be given for other results, such as continuing.

Don't allow result start date to be before enrolment start date

This preference applies to the Start date in the Enrolment Results Wizard and Bulk Enrolment Results Wizard.

Enabling this preference will produce an error, identified in the Status column with the red colour indicator, if a start date is recorded that is earlier than the start date specified in the client's enrolment. It will not be possible to proceed to the next step in the wizard until the error is resolved.

Don't allow completed units to have a finish date in the future

The following screenshot depicts the error due to the current date (September 2016) being prior to the value entered in Date recorded:
