If you receive an error that states:
Error : Module/Unit of Competency <Unit Code> exists on the master list of Units of Competency therefore the Module/Unit of Competency Flag "M" must be 'C'.
This specifies that a unit in your VETtrak system has been set up under the 'Modules' heading (which has a reporting flag of 'M') in the VETtrak Qualification Manager, but it is nationally considered to be a Unit of Competency (which has a reporting flag of 'C').
To fix this error, you will need to change the flag from 'M' (Module) to a 'C' (Unit of Competency')!
To do this, first you will need to go to the 'Manage' heading in VETtrak, and select the 'Qualification' option:
Within here, you will have 2 headings - 'Training Packages' and 'Course Based'.
If you expand the 'Course Based' heading, and then expand the 'All Modules (Subjects)' heading, you should see the problematic Module listed within here:
Now, to fix this AVETMISS Error, we need to move the Module from the 'All Modules (Subjects)' heading to a 'Units in Package' heading, this will then migrate it to live under a Training Package.
To start, expand your 'Training Packages' heading, and located a particular Training Package that you wish to move the unit to:
Now, to change the Module into a Unit of Competency, you need only Click and Drag the Module into the 'Units in Package' heading, like so:
When doing this, before the unit is moved you will see the following notification:
This is alerting you to the process that is about to take place - That your Module will be moved from the 'All Modules (Subjects)' area and instead appear in future under the 'Units in Package' heading, to be considered a Unit of Competency (With a flag of 'C') from this point onward.
With this complete, your Unit will now report in future with the appropriate flag of 'C' for AVETMISS collection!
