Changing class details in the Trainer portal

Summary

This feature allows a trainer to change some class details.  The feature is not enabled by default.
This feature includes:

Note: From VETtrak desktop version 21.3.0.0 you may now have multiple staff assigned per class.

Security

To control the trainer's ability to change the above class details.  New security entites have been added to the trainer portal.  In the Security Manager under the Application/Role management and Trainer Web Portal tree node.  Expand the respective trainer role(s) you will allow trainers access.  Set the "Can change class details" setting to [V] in order to allow trainers this access.

Changing staff assigned to the class

On the trainer portal under the full class view and Staff tab mceclip11.png:

  • To remove a staff member assigned on the class.  Under the section "STAFF IN THIS CLASS", use the Actions drop down menu to the right of the staff member and choose Remove from class drop down item.

  • You may also change the primary (bolded staff member) staff member in the same actions menu.
  • To add a new staff member use the mceclip3.png button at the top right of the staff list.  This will bring up a modal dialogue to allow you to select a staff member, their role and if they should be marked primary on the class.

    Note:  The staff list includes all staff on VETtrak desktop.  Including the staff member on the class does not give them access to see the class unless they also have access to the Trainer portal application.

Changing units linked to the class

On the trainer portal under the full class view, select the Units tab mceclip9.png:

Using the Actions menus to the right of the units, either add or remove the unit to the class.  Upon each action applied the screen will refresh the tab showing the result of your intended operation.
Note: adding a unit to the class requires that the unit is already available on the occurrence within VETtrak desktop.

  • To add a unit to the class.  Under the section "ALL OTHER UNITS IN THIS COURSE" choose the Actions menu item Add unit to class:

  • To remove a unit from the class.  Under the section "UNITS IN THIS CLASS" choose the Actions menu item Remove unit from class:

Changing tasks linked to the class

On the trainer portal under the full class view, select the Tasks tab mceclip10.png :

Using the Actions menus to the right of the tasks, either add or remove the task to the class.  Upon each action applied the screen will refresh the tab showing the result of your intended operation.
Note: adding a task to the class requires that the task is already available on the occurrence within VETtrak desktop.

  • To add a task to the class.  Under the section "ALL OTHER TASKS IN THIS COURSE" choose the Actions menu item Add task to class:

  • To remove a task from the class.  Under the section "TASKS IN THIS CLASS" choose the Actions menu item Remove task from class:
